OPEN YOUR HEART

After many months of work, an artist finally finished his masterpiece. The painting depicts a man waiting outside a door late at night, holding a lantern to illuminate his way. The artist was pleased with his work and entered a worldwide art competition.

The worldwide art competition attracted the best artists and their prized paintings. Our artist was confident he would win. But despite much attention and positive reviews, our artist's painting received scorn and even some laughter. Our artist was very disappointed and demanded to understand why.

"The painting overall is excellent. It is one of the best, if not the best, in the exhibition," said the head judge. But in your haste, you did not finish it. Look here. There is no doorknob on the door for the man with the lantern to enter."

Shaking his head, our artist pointed to the picture's title to address the judge's comments. The image was titled "The Human Heart." But the head judge still did not understand.

Our artist went on to explain, "The human heart holds no knob for entering. The human heart must be opened from the inside to let others in.”

Today, let go of past hurts that have closed your heart to others.  Forgive those who have hurt you, scorned you, and laughed at you.  Forgive yourself and forgive others. Let go and let grow!

Open your heart.

Until Next Friday,
